Just tried to copy a midi track from one seq to another - same tracknumber .
It copied the controler data and the name - but NOT the NOTES...

Is this a bug - or what did i do wrong -?
I went through the seq edit menue then events, copy, replace...

make sure you have "all" selected on the left side under Notes:

Mac?

Has your midi information worked better. I usually use a triton with my MPC2000 and I wanna make sure when I copy tracks that have midi on them that it copies it perfectly to another track. Let me know how things are going with that situatio you were having before I buy a 2500????

you need to set the track in the sequence that you want to copy to be a MIDI track. DRUM tracks can have CC data but not NOTE data so that is probably why you're seeing the CC and not the NOTEs. I just copied a MIDI track with some CC into a DRUM track in another sequence and saw just what you described but setting the destination to MIDI first i see all of the NOTE data and CC (as expected). Just set the destination track to MIDI and you should be all set.

yes i think this is the solution - i would have thought it figures itself that the destination track should be midi too.

thanks al lot!
