NEW OS

Does anyone have any idea when an updated os is going to be released by Akai? It's ridiculous that the mpc 2500 has been out for over 2 months with all these bugs and no update. They did the same thing with the 4000. It took years for them to work out all the bugs on the 4000. I know because I own a 4K and 2500.

The MPC 4000 has OS updates almost immediately when it came out. But you are right that it took them years to get rid of 100% of the bugs.

The 2500 on the other hand appears to be the only MPC that didn't get a prompt initial OS update. Its been 3 1/2 months.....I just hear that it is coming soon so I have no choice but to wait, keep using it, and report what I find in order to get the best OS possible.

Since NAMM is 19 Jan and Akai Japan site will be back up on 16 Jan (17 Jan USA time)....I am keeping my fingers crossed for an MPC 2500 OS update as well as the release for the MPC 1000s V2.0 update at that time.
