HELP moving hard drive from mpc 1000 to mpc 2500

while iam wanting for my 2500, iam getting my harddrive ready with more sound, but when i move it from my mpc1000 to the mpc 2500 will there by any problem doing this because i dont want to format my harddrive

You must be kiddin..right? So you have an MPC 1000-BK or you went through the trouble of ordering the hard drive mount kit and a 40 gig or 80 gig hard drive...installing it into the MPC 1000..knowing full well that it will only allow you to save 2 gigs?? Then you want to install this same drive into the MPC 2500?

I am sorry..but you opened yourself up for jokes This sounds crazy. Just save the whole 2 gigs of samples to your computer...and when you get the MPC 2500, moves these samples from your computer to the 2500 over USB.

Well you should be. I wouldn't install a hard drive from one unit into a different unit without formatting. I don't care if it was an MPC or a PC. Why even take the risk of losing your valuable 2 gigs of samples??

Again..it is only 2 gigs. Take these 2 gigs of samples and transfer them from your MPC 1000 to your PC over USB. When you get your MPC 2500, transfer these samples to the 2500.

Also...didn't you see the VST Special, where you can get a maxed out 2500 for about the same price as you have just paid for the standard 2500?
