MPC 2500 ISUUES

1) When you assign a sound to the individual outputs it no longer is available to stereo outs nor the HEADPHONE jack. This is very limiting as
i often use the for live shows where i like to have the sounds individually mapped. However when I'm at home where I don't have a mixer I will not be able to hear those sounds that are coming out through the individual outs. Anyone has this problem?

2) Lack of a Master tempo.

3)It does not play MPC2000xl samples correctly. When you audition the
sounds prior to loading them they playe fine. However, when you load them into memory they are truncated. Anyone has this problem?

Master tempo is important if for some reason you have a string of sequences you need to play at a tempo that is different from the specified sequence tempo

You sure about that? I thought this feature was called timestrech? Stretches the time of the sample but not the key

this is how it should be. you are changing the output of the pad/sound. when you assign away from stereo, that is what you are doing. moving the output from the main outs to the assigned outs. you should still hear it where ever you have that output going to (providing that input is monitored)

It's not the same as master tempo but you can change the tempo of all seqs at one time.
Manual page 18:
Select TEMPO, press window, press F5 [FIX], select your tempo and press DO IT.
You can also do a similar thing in SONG mode if necessary.

It's still not the same as having the master tempo available though.

Regarding the output issue. I beg to differ. I don't mind the sound no longer being heard through the stereo outs. This basically allows you to have 10 outputs. However, they should atleast come out through the headphone outputs for those times when you don't have a mixer around. or even if you're in a live setting and you need to listen to the machine without anyone else hearing.
