from 2kXL to 2500

Yo, I am considering going from my 2kXL to the 2500....

There are some key issues that I would like to know from users of the MPC2500....

Can the 2500 take an internal hard drive?

Can the 2500 record track mutes ?

How many tracks per sequence come on the 2500 ?

What kind of ports come on the 2500 (usb, firewire, scsi, smartcards,etc) ?

I am mainly interested in something stable. I want to get rid of using zips. I want 4 midi out puts. I want track mutes recorded...

i'm gonna answer the question but you could have easily found out by searching.

yes it takes internal hd

no you cant record track mutes atleast on the current o.s

tracks i think 64 i dont know though i know its more than 50 which sould be enough even if your like me and layer the shit out of all your instruments

as far as ports it has usb only

yes its stable from what i have used theres a few glitches but i have not encountered any.

Yes, I have done extensive searches... But, I wanted to hear from people that actually use the gear...

Thanks for your replies... Although, I guess the MPC4000 is the only mpc that records track mutes... ugh.... I thought for sure that the 2500 had this feature...

to check 2500 FEATURES why don't you read the manual.
