How can I check if my Harddrive has been installed?

I got my mpc2500 today & I got the store to speck it up (CD Drive, 128mb RAM & 80GB HD). They put the Feb 18th update on it. I know the CD Drive & RAM expansion are working ok because it lists them as soon as I switch the MPC on but it doesn't mention anything about the harddrive. How can I check if it's been formatted & working?

Sorry if this question seems silly, it's just that this is my first ever sampler & I'm totally clueless at the mo.

go to the load or save screen by hitting mode+pad2or3

and memory card should be highlighted at the top of the screen

to switch to the hard drive just rotate the data wheel
