Workflow ?

I've had my new 2500 for a few days now. With this being my first MPC I am doing OK, I've sampled, chopped, made some basic beats and seem to be on the right path....I am really enjoying it.

My question is how to be people save their work ? When starting something new, I have a clear memory - I start recording/chopping samples, creating Programs, making sequences and when I am done for the day I save "Entire Memory". Next day I load the project file...keep working and then save the entire memory again ... occassionaly I get a
"'Directory Error" but things seem to save.

Am I doing it correctly ? How do people work ? Do people get the error I get ?

I was having a problem with saving a while back so heres what I do now. I first save a program with samples, then I save all sequences and songs then I save entire memory. It seems to work for me!

Ok, thanks. So if you use "Save Program and Samples" and "Save all Sequences and Songs" is there any point in then using "Save Entire Memory" ?

Don't the 1st 2 cover it ?

i think the best method iv found is having folders with numbers ready, save all programs and sequences from one particular project/song and put it in one, later rename the folder to corrispond with the song name. then go to 2, when saving programs it saves the samples anyway, so any unused ones are dumped when you turn off. think thats an ok method.

It depends how confident you are. Depends whether you have made global changes, like Input Thru for example.
