Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

has anyone seen soft covers for the MPC's..........like the soft cover for Keyboards???? I have a nice heavy duty carrying bag already. I need something to cover it when its just setting in the studio.

you could always make one

go to walmart and buy a black flat sheet.

fold it into a decent sized square.

if you really want to, you can even sew up the sides and sew a draw string into it, but so far just laying it on top is good enough for me!

My mate at work knocked one up for me in good quality ambla (faux leather)

But if you wanted to do something similar the pattern for it really isn't that complex.

It's not a perfect fit as he only had my dimensions to work from as opposed to being able to see the MPC in the flesh and work from that. But it's good enough for me and defo serves its purpose.

Nice Jay, didnt know u had a cover, i noticed my had some dust n feathers on the other day, think im gunna make one from an old bed sheet :)

that a nice leather cover son. I was able to buy a regular keyboard cover, cut it and let someone sew it to fit the MPC.

Its funny with all the MPCs in the world you would think they would have a cover for it. I'll search the net.

I got one made for the 2500. I think it was $25 to $35 after shipping. You can get it in any color or fabric. I have it in a black waterproof nylon material. Their prices are very reasonable. I think this company is the best around.

they look quite good actually, you got any pics of it in use?

I still use a t-shirt or towel or something similar for my DJ mixer for now, need to try and get another one knocked up.

props to phocus on the t-shirt, but im joinin you now Jay, i made mine a gucci cover from a big gucci bag i cut open and altered to fit over the mpc :) il get some pics up tommorow.

thanks son. I ordered them today. I got (2) technics sl1200 covers and the matchin on for the vestax mixer. the 2nd technics cover will fit the 2500 on the rolling stand.

I'm also about to order th red pads for the 2500.
