Got my shiney new 2500

Dam this thing is crazy. I have programmed and made music with computer sequencers for years and this baby can do some dam fine tricks, and i dont even know for sho what im actually doing. LOL

well im sure when i get my head around it properly (I have only had it for 4 hours) it will rock the spot fo sho.

Just to let you guys know the price, its has cost me 950uk pouns inc the akai ram and an 80gig h/d.

sound control finance deal. I looks like i was lucky to get the price i did because it looks as if they maybe going back up to 949 soon.

What's the crack with their finance? is it like 0% for 12 months?

If it is i'll be abel to get my monitors AND go on holiday this summer

12month = bill in twelve months pay up in full or get stung for the interest

6month = bill every month, you pay the minimum or what ever you like on top, like a credit card, again, pay in full by the 6th month or get screwed on the interest.

The new Adam A7s i think. I emailed Sound Control earlier and they're going to retail at about £600 but there are only limited numbers coming into the UK at the moment.

They're probably just telling me this so that i place my order now (which i wont until i've heard them) but they say that only 50 pairs are being delivered in the first batch and 46 pairs of those are already on pre-order.

I'm not going to rush into it though, need to test them out first, even if that means waiting a few months

Good on you...im a big Adam fan myself. I went from Genelec 8040a (nice) but wanted something more serious.

I know the guys at Adam, and they are nice to deal with.

I use the S3a's and own a pair of P33a's (of my own), beautiful in every way. They sound amazing in my studio. Im gonna get the Sub10 soon.

Are you planning to use them as your only monitors, or for mixing only?

The A7's are gonna be great, and if you can get the sub 8 too. That will be a killer system for both mixing and pounding out on with that mpc, much better than any of the common stuff.

BTW, have a look at KMR Audio in london, very helpful and may loan you a pair to demo.

Only two years ago i was using a pair of Alesis Monitor 1 Mk2 Passives, and some of the stuff i made on those speakers sound wicked.

I dont like too many speakers. I use my Adams for production / tracking / mixing all in one now. Sold the Alesis.

remember you'll need an amp with the ns10's

Got that sorted dude, i've got a Cambridge Audio amp that i use at the moment for my separates. Should do the job but i'm not sure if amps like this would colour the sound too much?

Spirez, try the amp you have with NS10's first, it should be fine.

I use an old Crest Audio amp for my NS10Ms, but i know some people who use Samson Servos or Alesis RA amps with the NS10s and it sounds fine.

The NS10s are great for midrange detail, and the Adams are like that too, but much much better (smoother). The thing with Adams, they are not hyped, its just the amazing detail coming from those great tweeters.
