Just noticing some strange behavior with this.

Example: if I'm sequencing a mono synth on 1 midi track, somtimes i like to overdub more midi notes and listen to the synth fight to decide which note to play.

I sounds cool, but after more that 1 or 2 overdubs, the timing bogs down horribly.

Now i go to step edit and it's filled with channal pressure events (like almost 100)

What is this?

Those are controll parameters from your synth keyboard,
messages telling the mpc how hard you pressed the keys (just like if you bash on the pads or just push em) and possibly the aftertouch (how hard you keep pressing the keys after you've pressed the key :D ) too.
Greetz...

Thanks for replying,
I just don't understand why in step edit there will be 1 note event followed by like 30 channal pressure events, then another note, then 30 more channal pressure.... 1 for note on and 1 for note off right?? Maby i'll disable aftertouch.

This bogs down the timing of the entire sequence, not just the synth.

Anybody have any ideas??
