hey everyone. figuring out how to make a general midi drum kit for when my friend hooks up his V-Drums to my 2500. i want a kick to trigger when he hits the kick, and hi-hats to trigger when he hits the hi-hats.

basically, i want everything to line up.

does this layout look correct?

http://homepage.mac.com/seishu/ssworks/mpcpgmmaker/mpcpgmmaker.html

it's from the screen shot on the MPC Program Maker page on the bottom. it looks like each pad is assigned a general midi drum name as default.

sorry for my ignorance, but i'm used to assigning what I want to the pads... now i must conform. to a roland, at that. yuck.

found the answer. i remembered that i saw it SOMEWHERE before...

the answer was found at the old 2000xl site.

http://www.mpc2000xl.com/program_creating.htm

i like their program editor, as well. i was having problems reading some of my banginbeats programs on my 2500... i just used this program to convert it, and now it reads fine. no other MPC program editor program was able to read them... 'cept this one. go figure.
