I wish veiwing samples was the same ...Thats one thing that drives me nuts when loading new sounds.. It always defaults back to the begining of the list of samples on the hard drive...It would save a lot of time and wear and tear on the jog wheel if it returned you to the same sample you just loaded.

^^^ lefties cannot use a mpc at all, because all the pads are in wrong order for them...

for me the weakest point in the 2500 jog wheel is its light, plastic feel. maybe i change mine for a wooden wheel or a wheel made of stainless steel.

I would like to see a non-clickless ipod type jog wheel on the MPC. Not the new ipods that are touch sensitive, but if any of you guys remember the older ipods that had an actual moving, rotatable wheel. That thing was so smooth. And instead of the actual wheel clicking, I'd like to hear "audio" clicking (again like the ipod); for instances where you're scrolling through the alphanumeric characters, samples, digits, etc. Just to make it easier to distinguish an incremental value change.

I'm left-handed myself, and have no problem whatsoever operating the 2500. In fact, I like it better than the 2000XL ergonomically.

i agree, it should have a function to like, punch in a letter, and itll go to that letter in the sample browse screen. it stays on what sample i pick though, until the usb button bug comes into play, then you gotta restart from the main dir

Yeah, that's true, but I'm sure it's something that could still be changed in a future OS update.

The general feel of the 2500 just doesnt feel like a MPC to me for some reason. I think that POS jog wheel has a lot to do with it..I love the 2000xl jog wheel, I put up with the jog wheel on my 4000 which is similar to the 1000 one, and the 2500 jog wheel makes the entire unit feel like a flimsy fisher price toy. Maybe they'll fix it and release a MPC2600

Was just about to make a post about this issue myself, It seems on the 2k you can really speed up that wheel like on my motif's dial, But with this its slow as all hell wtf are we going to do? Any hope on replacements

Jog wheel is cheap and crappy, I cant understand it when manufacturers skimp on this stuff. Another poor feature is the CF card slot, it's impossible to get the card in first time, it's always getting skewed. Same as on the 1000.
