I need to vent!!

So did you back up your files and re-format your drive?

I transfered all of my files from my HD to my CF, and then reformatted my HD! Everything is working ok right now, but I learned a valuable lession!

I found something out today while I was experimenting with the 2500. I recreated the infamous "freeze up" while saving to a folder in a folder, deleting the contents and then saving to the same exact folder within a folder again! The good news that I found out is to try and save your beat to the CF card first because when it freezes up you can just eject the CF card and it will return you to the Main Sequencing screen... If everything saves to the CF card with no hitch, then you can do as you please with the file, ie transfer them to the computer for archiving or for transfering to your HD.

The bad news is when I recreated the "freeze" on the HD, there was no way to get back to the main screen, and all was forever lost!
