I don't know if this is common MPC knowledge, or if it's clearly stated in the manual, but if you have tons of samples loaded up in the MP and you have to edit a particular one, instead of searching for it through the trim screen, first go to PROGRAM mode, hit the pad that the sample's assigned to, then go to TRIM mode, and it should be the currnet sample on the screen.

Sorry if this is obvious, but it's something I picked up along the way with my XL ways back, and I thought I'd share.
