Sound quality of loops assigned to pads: help me please

I have a nice loop and I put it in my CF.
When I select PLAY from the card utility of the 2500 it has good sound quality and volume, but when I assign it to a pad and press the pad it is very weak and quite soft... can you help me please?

Check if the pads filters are on

And try it with the Full Level button pressed.

Spooky i just got my MPC 2500(coming from a XL) the other day and really got stuck in tonight and had the same proplem.

I found in the trim/loop screen the sample plays really loud as opossed to the main Seq screen.

Then i worked out that in the program screen the lvl is set to 70 by default and when i cranked that out to 100 all was fine.

what about the master volume - page114 manual? check that.

maybe also try and normalize the sample in the trim mode
