Changing tune and assigning to pads

auto chromatic assignment is not in the original os or in the printed manual.
download and install os 1.22 if you are on an older version. also read the manual addendum on os 1.22 on the new functions.

Oops,I forgot to download the 1.22 addendum.Chromatic assignment is covered there,thanks!

Well it's really simple.

1.Hit<mode> then pad 7(program mode)this will take you to the sample page of program mode

2.From the sample page of program mode move the cursor to the tune section of your sample and highlight the +00.00

3.Press the <window> button(white glowing button on your Mpc).This will bring up the Pitch Function page.

4.While in the Pitch Function page, press F5 (Auto).For now don't worry about the Source or Original key or naming your program.

5.Press Do it(F5)This automatically creates a new program and takes you to your new program. Now by changing your pad banks A-D you have 5 octaves to work with as appose to the 16 levels.With this method you can also play your chromatic samples with a midi keyboard.16 levels you cannot play with a midi keyboard.

Thanks Upright!!11oneone!! I couldn't figure out how to play my mpc's sounds from my midi keyboard!That was another question I had but now its solved!
