I think the dynamics of a VA compared to an analog device is much different. My Virus sounds dynamically cheap compared to my Soundlab. That probably has something to do with the internal compresson of the Virus. But the Soundlab can sound better through the Virus.

I think of VAs as similar to samplers with preset waves, just as mentioned, digital synths. My mpc can be that too. You have digital algorithms acting on internal sounds and inputs too.

My woman needs a job.
