This is incorrect. You can sync with Midi Clock or Midi Time Code with the Akai. However, MTC slave involves an extra step which is less than ideal. And once the MPC is sync'd via MTC, you can not stop the MPC from the MASTER device...you have to press stop on the MPC.

The JJ OS should work fine. I just thought you should cover all angles.

i think i found another way to acompish wut i wanted to do without using my mpc as a slave...im setting my mpc as the master and enabling the record button in nuedo and having my mpc start the recording....thats all i wanted to do in the first place so even tho i didnt fix my slave issue, i should be good for now...thanks for you help jahrome

That's cool that you found another way to get the same results.....but I would still look into what's wrong with getting the MPC to sync as a Midi Clock slave, because it should work fine with Nuendo.

I am using a midi sport 1x1 interface , i need to double check the cabling , but im sure every thiing is ok.

mines the midi sport 2X2....maybe it has something to do with that?

If it doesn't work, than everything is not ok. Something is wrong. If it is not your hardware, then its your software.

I have proved all my midi cables are working fine, I am convinced that the problem is with the MPC 2500. I have set Nuendo up as describe in earlier post using mtc & midi clock. The mpc will not sync to either, I am using a midi sport interface and the L.E.D indicates midi activity when trying to sync with MPC. I have tried this with both OS on the MPC, Akai official 1.22 and JJ 3.02 . I have also tried on both midi ins on the MPC. Any other suggestions please
