? on pad settings

what do I do to change the settings so the sample will be interrupted and restart when I hit the pad a second time, or make it so the sample only plays while i hold the pad? I can only get it play all the way through with every hit. it's holding me back. help much appreciated. . .

You have to enter the Program menu and set the pad (which the sample is assigned to) to MONO versus POLY.

You should really take some time to read the manual as well.
