When I use the one shot function to trigger a sample, it works fine when I'm not playing or recording a sequence at the same time (the pad plays the sample until it finishes - like it should when I hit a pad) but when I play or record an existing sequence, and then try triggering the one shot sample (on it's own track) it cuts out (before it should) as if it were in note on mode. It's really pissing me off as I can't do what I want to achieve. Is this a bug? and anyone else get it happening? Any comments appreciated:)

Did you try with a new, empty project, just the one sample loaded? Does it do the same then?

Good idea, I will try that. I did try other pads, to see if it was a problem with the pad I was using. My midi/other settings seem to be fine tho. It only cuts out (the triggered one shot pad sample) when the seq is running

You may have already tried this BUT...

ensure that Particular pad thaat you've got misbehaving is not set to Mono in the Voice Overlap Field.

Mode>PAD 7(Program)> Hit the Pad concerned...Now set the Voice Overlap to Poly.

See if that helps...

also...ensure the prgrams 'Play' Field (Top right in this page....is set to Poly.

I ran into something similar to this the other night. I had 4 different samples in a custom program on bank A. I made the first track playing three of the samples (Each sample was set to MONO and one shot). This played fine on the track. I then went to track 2, muted two of the samples, played the fourth and decided to try and drop one of the muted samples in at a different point. This is when the problem occured on playback of the sequence.

Might sound confusing but to remedy it i just copied the sample that was being cut off abruptly to another pad, recorded where i wanted it to come in on a seperate track and that seemd to work. I probably haven't helped much but thats how i got round it.

Found the problem, a different program was causing a sample in another program not to trigger the full one shot. Once I re-sampled my drums (from the conflicting program) I set them up in a brand new program (deleting the old conflicting prog). The problem sample that wasn't playing back fully then played until in finished, like it should do. This was defo some kind of bug but its possible to get round thank fook
