Hey

i went to start up my MPC today and notucedthe jog wheel was a little stiff, then i saw that the minus button of the + /- vareity jus below the jog wheel has sunken into the machine

i reckon i could open it and jus pop it back, but i dont wanna void my warrenty or watever

can anyone help

Just do it. If you cant fix it, theirs really now way for anyone to know if you opened it yourself or not unless you strip the hell out of the screws. It should be something you can fix.

Just go ahead and do it yourself. There is no such repair centre for Akai in the UK. Cimple Solutions (so called Akai warranty repairs) told me that they do not carry any mpc 2500 parts...WTF?

I carry out my mpc repairs myself, atleast you learn along the way. Take you're time, do not panic and make notes of every bit you unscrew.

Sometimes when things rattle in a unit, just take out some screws and put it back together...Bingo! - No more rattle. I dont this on my 2500. It use to rattle when i hit the top pads. Re tightened all bottom plate screws and sorted it.
