2500 quality

For those that have a 1000 as well, does the 2500,s buttons have the same feel, the 1000 buttons are generally harder to push that any gear i owned before and don't "click" nice , how is the 2500,s ? as well as the feel of the data wheel and transport controls ?

They are pretty close when compared to the 1000, I mean if your wondering if there is a day and night difference between the buttons on the 1000 and the 2500 I would have to say no. The data wheel is obviously different in feel because it is designed differently.

If i have to be honest, i would say that the 2500 is slighter better built over the 1000 (which i have owned). The buttons on the 2500 are of decent quality, and the data wheel is not too bad. I like the click sound it makes

IMHO the current mpcs are only as good as the chinese workmanship at current state. I cannot say good things about future mpcs / other products.

Things are getting cheaper, and mass production has killed the term 'rock solid'.

The buttons on the 2500 are just like the MPC 2000XL/2000.

Oh yes and heat wise does it get hot, i live in quite a hot place and i turn my 1k off after 2-3 hours for a break because it get real hot , i would assume the 2500 doesn't get so hot since there is more space inside the machine and has air vents.

My MPC 2500 generates very little to no heat.

my 2500 does ok with heat, i usually become concerned about the heat once the pads begin to feel hot.
