Using MPC to sequence Soft Synths via Cubase SX3..

Ooopps..didn't take much time to learn the basics of Nuendo's MIDI sequencer. Just turned on the QUANTIZE and set it to 1/16th, and can easily create a simple drum pattern. Next, I will play with the swing settings...

pls help me i have a mpc 2500 and im tryin to get this work with my cubase sx3 i can hear and record my beat but not in time and plus i got to press record on cubase then play on mpc which can never be on time.

mpc: midi 1 - (mackie spike interface): midi in
monitors(alesis m1) going into the montors lr on the mackie spike
the xlr cables 1-2 inputs on the mackie going into the behringer mixer outputs.
then the mpc audio (stereo) cables going into the behringer mixer
if u lot need pics of my mackie spike interface pls holla
now how will i record vocals cus iv tried using the mixer for my mick but it comes out sounding robot like so what i do is unplug on xlr then record the vocal then plug it back is this right if not what should i do.
also thinking off gettin of updating so any thoughts pls holla thanks
