Pro tools midi sync

Is this a true issue with the mpc2500 that when it is trigged by an 002 rack or any interface/midi for that matter,that it will lose its knock / sound slightly not as it would "playing normally" when its playing internally. I have been trying to do this for a while so I can stem out each and every track rather then handplaying and trimming in which can be a hassle. Anyone with knowledge to this would be a great help
