Midi Pad assignment

How do you save the setting sonce you have reassigned the pad?

i adjusted all the pads so that they play/work in a functional way like a midi keyboard, but dont seem to be able to save the settings

"Save/Load" chapter in the 2500 manual, should describe everything you need to save.

Im not to sure what has happened, but i adjusted the pads as stated, then the program im using in conjunction with the mpc started reading the pads as if it was in default????

Ok so ive done what i thought i should be doing, made an autoload song with the midi map adjusted to match the keyboard and when i reload the autoload i created it resets the Pads back to the midi default??

step by step break down of how to make the friggin machine have the standard not default midi mapping for good?

Did you make sure to save the Entire Memory after mapping and load it all back again?

Yeah, i can't seem to get the default screen to stay after i adjust either. MODE+MIDI/SYNC>NOTE. I just use the program's midi note # assign and save it to flash as the default program. It's probalaby not even a good idea to mess with the default thing, i'm pretty sure that's the seting for the internal sampler's note # as opposed to outgoing midi.

yep i did that. didnt do shit for me. man i know this should be so simple but cant figure it out.

Ok Dj MuTT to the rescue, after a night of pushing buttons and takin rippies, I figured out how to save the midi parameters of a program. What you do is make a new program, call it midi, make a new sequence, record some midi into track one with the track set to midi, the name of the program(which is midi in my case) and 1a. Then save to internal memory, not the cf card and not the internal hard drive. Save aEntire Memory to the internal hard drive. when you reboot you load the program from the internal memory to the mpc and you should be ready to rock..

So basically loading a prepared template program into memory on startup, right?

It should work without that workaround as well...obviously nobody got it to work yet though
