Is it efficient enough sound wise to mix the actual beat down on the mpc itself? Can you get decent quaility that way? also I have protools but sometimes I just dont feel like going down to my studio if I make a track and mix it down on the mpc can I just use the usb and export the beat to my cpu that way?

Well in my opinion. 98% of the time the beat will sound better mixed outside of the mpc. Its really just as simple as you dont have enough tools to make it happen inside the mpc. I mean you can try, but im sure it wont ever be as good. Unless your sounds are like Pre-mixed to fit the track before you throw them in the mpc. What i usually do (speaking as a fellow lazy producer) i only mix beats that i have plans to do something with immediately.

yeah just make them sound as good as possible? then mix em when someone wants to do something with them? I'll do that is there a way to use the usb and get the tracks off of the mpc?
