I was saving my songs, seq, programs as a PROJECT file that was in a folder, say Project 1. So I had like 10 songs in my 2500. Then yesterday I saved a new beat (PROJECT) to a NEW FOLDER that I didn't name and it overwrote all my other songs! What did I do wrong? Did I write the new song as the Root? I'm so motherfukking pissed. Whats the proper way to save a PROJECT file?

I'll tell you what..this thing MPC got something unpredictible with a savings.. I always save entire memory, coz then I tried to save like sequence or program with or without samples It didn't saved that.. So I can see the only one way to save your beat is -save entire memory..Also then you save entire memory It is automatically makes a folder say with Project 1 , If you 'd like to change a name of this project, you will probably need to download all the programs manually.. It won't download all the Project how It was done..

I might be wrong somewhere here, but that's the way I do my save, coz once I lost couple of propper beats..I don't want to loose anything else..

I would say first of all...name your folders.
