i just found out that when you chop the mpc converts your stereo samples to MONO!!!
DAMN
is there any way to get around that?
my solution was to extract the zones! but it takes out the release function!
anyone who has an idea please write ;)

Have a good week end everyone ;)

There is a free version.. (at least for the 1000) but its only 30 dollars for the latest... and its not official, but so what? AKAI is official and has been known to be a lil lazy with coding and products.

Also, yes.. it allows you to slice while keeping the samples in stereo; otherwise he would not have posted it in direct response to your question like that haha.

I also recommend the JJ OS.

If you can use the akai os you will be fine with the JJ os because for the most part it just builds on the original akai one. Some things have changed a little but most stuff is added on.

how's the chopping on the JJ OS, i don't like the chop shop crizap in the official OS

You can chop the way you do on the XL on the 2500 too... chop shop is just an additional feature that you can use if you choose to.

At least if I remember the XL correctly.

Ajax you are totally right but the way it chops is mono only even if you chop using regions!
