Upgrades

Found a not too bad of a price for a 2500, but it doesn't come with the 80gb hard drive or the 128 ram (it does come with the hardware for the upgrade capability, however). my question is what specifics do the hard drive and ram need to be? the hard drive will obviously have to be internal but what model/brand etc? same for the ram

hard drive into is on akai's website... as for ram, do a search. it's been discussed numerous times.

cool. im just tryin to see what the cheaper route is gonna be. either buyin a stock and doin the add-ons myself or just goin fully maxed with a deal

Have you tried http://www.vstservice.com/ yet? They have a pretty good deal, plus the 6 month extended warranty.

haha yea man good heads up thats actually the one i've been contemplating. just battling between whether or not it'd be cheaper to go that route, or just go stock (about 1600-1700) and then upgrade from there. because the only things i'd really need would be the RAM and 80gb hard drive. question, are the expansions for those two already in the stock model, or would i have to buy RAM expansion, RAM, hard drive expansion, and hard drive?? is it 2 upgrades or 4???
