2000XL to 2500 via mac osx

OK...hi everybody
i need a little help with this...
How to ****' transfer my work form and external scsi disk drive and/or zip drive to mac osx then to 2500 with out bying fancy 200$ buck program (and not being sure that this will work at all)!!

What if i have the 2 machines side by side...?

what fancy $200 are you referring to?.....

anyway, you just have to transfer either your cd projects or zip disk projects to a CF card. a card reader for your computer shouldn't be more than $10.

but the disk drive is scsi...card reader is usb...
scsi cable to usb...?
...or scsi card reader?

get a disc drive for your computer

ok sorry about this im not sure i understand...

everything is on a fudjitsu external SCSI drive to the2000xl
if i connect it to my MAC scsi port...it will damage my files...am i right?

next,
I need all those mpc folder with .pgm and .snd to go into my mac if i want them on my new 2500... so why do i need another drive for?
and if all those files are stuck on the fudjtsu SCSI drive... what is the point of the CF card reader

I already try by saving into a iomega zip drive and then i connect it on the mac and OSX is not able to see anything....

This thing is a pain... Bravo for Akai...
I need a more clear explanation on that....

i thought you meant you had an external scsi cd-rom or zip drive.... in which i suggested that you just get external drive (like a usb one) for your computer.

but to solve your problem i would try to hook the external scsi drive directly to your computer. as long as you have the correct connections, it should work.

otherwise see if you could daisy chain the zip drive to the external drive and save your files to your zip drive... then transfer it from your zip to CF card with a card reader for your computer.

I connect 2000xl to zip(a test disc of course...) chained to mac osx
and i try to move the files back and forth( from XL to Zip to Mac to Zip to XL...)

...And it damage the sound ...


does the mpc 2500 is able to manage files from osx?..i mean trash files and other files that appears on the disk...

im' loosing my mind here...!
