Loading Sample Libraries to HD of 2500

First off much props to all the folks who make this forum dope! W/ that said, i need to once more replenish myself with a faithful dose. Up until this point i have been loading my samples one by one or as needed, for whatever reason. As one can imagine, I really want the luxury of being able to scroll through my HD for drum libraries instead. I have recently purchased some new sample libraries that I would like to load into my HD of my MPC. Hence, my question, what is the best way to load several libraries of say 4 gigs each of drums and make a convenient folder system. The folder issue maybe a second part question, but is there anyway to seperate the kicks from snares or loops from these libraries for the purpose of organization (or folders) if they are not seperated on the library disk itself. Organize everything on your PC into folders , then transfer all the folders and files to your Mpc via USB...I think it's the easiest way to go.

Never used the MPC editor before but i m assuming this is what you mean?

Nah, not talking about an Mpc editor. In save or load mode press 'f4'(USB) to connect the 2500 to your PC then drag and drop files/folders to your 2500.It's pritty simple.

ok check it these disks are already akai formated so my mac doesn't recognize them. I got my MPC hooked up and its hd is shown on my desktop so i got that right. Ive tried loading them straight in through the drive but the manual isn't super intuitive or detailed. im sure its user error but not able to load them. The first one i loaded, i was able to name it but it seems to be empty. not sure. Im close but not close enough. Could use some advise.

Anybody got an opinion on this, would be great to get these akai fromated sample libraries into my MPC. Im able to load the libraries that are wav but since mac cant read the akai formated joints, im a confused on what to do. Nothing in Ch. 16 about this, so not sure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I use CDXtract in order to convert akai cds into wav format.

Thanks bro! I wonder if anyone else has used similar software for file conversion? Weighting my options. (Bueller?....Anyone?....Anyone?)

Yeah.. but what I've noticed that Akai's samples after convertion to .Wav
sounds much badly,and also you can't use Akai samples Programs..
It is shame,coz you have to create all the programs by yourself instead of using already created programs..
Why AKAI libraries are best libr.. of analog samples in the world,but AKAI MPC CAN NOT READ THEIR OWN FACKIN' SAMPLES PROPERLY ..

Tatleen, DAEMON TOOLS is only supported by windows, i rock a mac.

well,cant you find any converter for mac? try to find that out in google..
