Thinking of switching to 2500

Hi,

I'm a 3000 user but im thinking of switchin to the 2500. I have one question. Do any of you use the choppshop function and is it easier to use than recycle?

if u instal the new jj OS choping is briliant! you will find it really fast and effective once you learn how to you it (which takes no time).

I wouldnt say it easier, its easier to do something if you are used to the process.

But if you want to see how many stages are envolved in getting from a four bar to individual hits (assigned to the Pads) I'd look at the manual, its fairly well explained in there.

i've never got the chopshop slices the way i really wanted them to be, so i just always do it manually.

werd. i use chop shop once in a blue moon now, when i first copd my mp tho i used nuthin but chop shop, then i realised the headroom when choppin it manual, it is so much more effective in the end. dont get me wrong tho it iz a kool function. the only time i use it really is if im hella blazed, or if the tempo of the sample is mad on time. but its usually the former, when i start getn "corner cutterish"

i used chopshop for the first week/month i had the 2500. Doing it manually is alot faster.

Is it better than Recycle...probably not..but makes up for it because it is quick and simple to do when you use the JJ OS.

Is the MPC 2500 better than your MPC 3000? Only if you need the extra features. If you will not use the extra features...you may want to just keep the MPC 3000 as long as it is fully operational...my two cents.
