I just picked up my first MPC a 2500
and its built like a tank
the pads are rock solid, a bit firm
but will get better over time
just installed the JJ OS & the CC sliders are dope
good luck

the pads on the 2500 are more like the pads on the 2000xl, and they blow the 1000 pads away. The 1000 pads aren't even in the same league as the 2500.

I really am so happy with thiss machine it
exceedes my expectations (esp. w/ JJ_OS)
I have wanted one for 10+ years
I was thinking about the 8800
but I have made the right decision
its worth it. s o l i d _ no worries

Nothing like the pads on the 2500, even better than the pads on the 8800

No the pads on the 2500 are not at all like the 2000xl. The build is not the same at all.
B4 the mpc 1000 the mpc 2k and 2kxl had the worst pads of any mpc according to forat. However the mpc 1k has the worst pads because they aren't on a sheet which makes them more likely to friction being on their own individual pad sensor

that's not what i said...the pads on the 2500 are closer to the 2000xl than they are to the 1000 in terms of how they feel, which is what the dude who posted this wants to know. Basically, the 2500 pads are the shizzy.

I used the XL for about 6 years and I don't notice any difference between the 2500 and the XL's pads. My XL felt better because they were nice and broken in, but my 2500 pads are starting to feel the same way now. I don't have a problem doing drum rolls or anything semi difficult on the 2500.
