Recording Q Link Slider Movements

I am probably ignorant to a major degree but when i assign my sliders to change the tone then record, it will not record the movement. it will record the pad. but if i continue to move the slider it will keep changing the tone/key/pitch. i want to concrete the ONE movement. so that each time played it will play the slider movement....

i know that i could record it in sample but is there a way to record the movement?

Also, could NOTE ON in Q-link menu have something to do with it...I don't quite understand that part in Q-link.

What control are you trying affect with the slider.

try it with level to test.

so, load ur prog, a single hit liek a hat
mode slider - assign the pad to the slider, select realtime and level.
make a small seq, of 1/32 with as many hat hits as you can fit in
then overdub while moving slider.
