4GB FLASH CARD CHECK IT OUT!!!

To update this thread I placed the 4gb micro drive in the 2500 and it read 3560mb and it shows 3.61gb on the computer when i press the usb button. these are much cheaper than cf cards and may not be bad for back ups. they can be easily obtained from dead ipod mini's check the link thats 4gb for under $15

im puzzled as how to utilize it tho as it has a molex and its isnt obvious to me how to go about the situation coz it doesnt appear to have any pins or holes for pins at the top

I am using a 4gb Microdrive in my mpc500. So far its working fine.

I took it out of an Ipod Mini. The MPC formatted the whole drive.

Use a (battery dead) ipod mini take it apart and remove the drive, this is not a flash card its a micro drive. when i put it in the mpc2500 and hit the usb option it shows on the deskstop as 3.81gb I want to say the mpc recgonized it also as being 3888mb or something like that but i did noticed the letters at the end were mb and not k. im thinking the mpc treats it like a hard drive(micro drive) and thats why you can use more than 2gb

I have just discovered the greatest low cost accessory for the mpc2500
Im sure you can find someone with an ipod mini who will sell it for $50 or less especialy if its dead due to the battery

i bought an 80GB HDD for my 2500 for 45 dollars.
