2000XL zip disks

How can I use my 2000XL disks work with the 2500? The computer doesn't recognize zip disks formatted on the MPC.

i think that the only way to do it is to use the mpc as a means to copy everything off of the mpc formatted zip disk onto a disk which your PC can read, whether it be another zip disk formatted properly or a compact flash card or whatever.

that's what i had to do to get all of the sounds off of my scsi hard drive and zip disks from my 2000xl. moved them to a PCMCIA card and popped that into my computer a few times.

so basically I need another MPC2000XL to do this. I'm surprised akai hasn't supplied a way around this.. actually, no I'm not.. it's akai..
