What do you need it for? Are you going into a DAW? If so, you might want to just find a decent interface with 8 inputs. You can get an M-Audio Project mix, which gives you 8 I/O with expansion to 16 through ADAT for about that same amount. It also has flying faders so that you can store your fader settings for different projects. If you get the Mackie, you will have to reset the faders everytime and we all know that that is tricky if you work on a project and then go to another one. You tend to lose your settings. So it all really depends on what you want a mixer for. Live work or studio work?

Yeah bro folks are right, ya dont really need one unless you have other gear like guitars, mics, other drum machines, Keys, etc. Or if you want a convenient way to record multiple inputs (such as those described) into a DAW. I use one of the Mackie Onyx myself for the last reason, because it makes sense for me, I got samplers and multiple drums machines and other instruments. You actual have mixer in your MPC at your disposal for the tracks you create. You have midi ins and outs on the unit as well. My quess is its all you need right now. I know is tempting to want to expand your horizons, my advice is, maybe, master the MPC before moving forward,if you haven't already. peace and good luck

You can get a multimix firewire for a lot cheaper, so if you decide to go daw you will be ready.
