sampling with cd

Im new to mpcs, and im guessing this is a dumb question, but since the mpc 2500 has a cd drive, can you insert a cd and sample from it within the mpc using the cd drive?

Yes, you sure can sample from any song in your CD collection....But I remind you if your in the market for one, that the MPC2500 does not always come with a CD drive installed....Mostly it's an optional extra...
