Is there a way to copy MIDI data from one pad to another?

For the purposes of doubling up kicks, I'm trying to find out if there is a way to copy the MIDI data from one pad to another. What I'm trying to do is this: say I have a kick sample and kick pattern programmed on Pad 2. I have another kick sample on Pad 1, and I want to copy the kick pattern data from Pad 2 to Pad 1, in effect doubling the first pattern without having to reprogram the kick.

I thought I could do this in Grid Edit mode, but I can't get the copy/paste to work. I know that I can just add the second kick sample to Pad 2, but I want the kicks on separate pads (for EQ purposes at a later time).

Is there a way to do this?

the copy paste should work but i do this another way:
put your second kick in another program on the same pad your first kick is, copy your track and put the new program in your new track. now it should play your drumpattern with two different kicks at the same time. now you can mute one track or the other plus you have more freedom what you can do with your music.

You may also want to know that if you change your MIDI track to DRUM temporarily then you can do what you are trying to do.

Once you have changed it to DRUM, go in to MODE SEQ EDIT, then select Transpose and you can move PAD A to PAD B or which ever PAD you are trying to copy the pattern to.

Even with this way, you have to copy the track1 to track2 and then copy them back together afterwards.
