Hi dudes, I have a question about recording the sound from my 303 into the MPC. The MPC is connected with the 303 by midi cables (midi in and midi out). I use the MPC as a master and the 303 as slave and they are sync. And I understand that Midi is only data and not the sound.

But how do I record my 303 live performance into the MPC? I have read the manual (midi sequencer features page 24) and tried: select midi, pgm off or No 1, select midi channel and play/rec, but I its not working.

Can anyone tell me how I should it? Maybe I have to do it on an other way, just like recording a sample?

Thanks

Im not sure your problem is clearly stated? Try again for those of us who are slow. Im inclined to say, "yes, its just like recording a sample".

The purpose of an MPC is to sequence audio and midi... it's not for recording. Plus, you'd be rather limited given that the max of a 2500 is 128mb. Next to nothing especially how you say you're trying to record your performances.
