Need Chop-Shop 2.0 into new MPC2500 firmware

It would be great for me if Akaï release a new MPC2500 firmware with Chop-Shop 2.0 coming from MPC5000.

Also a good thing would be the possibility to directly import REX file on MPC !

...don't call it chopshop 2.0. it's called being able to chop stereo files without BUTCHERING them, ie the way it should have been in the 2500 to begin with.

but the last thing akai is going to do (even though it would be so easy for them) is start putting software from the 5000 into its older, cheaper models

It has already happened since the 5000 is the 2500 v2.
Still seems strange that Akai didn't steal or try to replicate the things that make the JJ OS more user friendly.

I understand your arguments in a basic commercial point of view...

But it's always good a company updates their product when a technology is available in-house. It can show new customers (and old) their investment is beter than an investement on a concurent product.
I'm not sure Akaï is so good today with the JJ's OS they can't follow...

Concerning stereo chopshop, this is something which is already available on other concurent products. And I'm interested in for my MPC2500.

Considering how little Akai has actually done for the 2500 since it's release it seems highly unlikely.
Especially when they have the 5000 coming in at a street price of $2499.
