Updated to 1.23 now its stuck on MPC2500 (16MB installed)

Need Help

updated to OS 1.23 and now i cannot get past the screen with MPC2500 (16MB installed) it stays locked on this screen and flickers about every 10 seconds
this is really pissin me off. anybody ever had this problem.

take out the RAM, see if it gets past the screen. If it does re-insert the RAM and make sure its in there really good

try starting it up while pushing and holding the "erase" key - this normaly does a factory reset, but in some cases also helps when the os won´t boot.
it is better to reset to factory defaults anyhow after an os update and akai also reccomends (re-)formating the harddrive.
