Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

Hello to all,
I am looking to buy my first MPC and I want to get the 2500. I have used and still use an ASR-10 for years but just need a unit like the MPC for work flow purposes. ASR is slow to me and stops my work flow so much so I don't like using it anymore.

Questions I have
- Does the 2500 come with a Hard Drive installed out the box or is this an option.
-Also if you have a Hard Drive in the unit can you still have the CD/DVD drive installed as well? This is something I have been wondering and I have combed through this forum looking for this info.

If anyone out there can set me straight please help me out.
Thanks

The search feature is not working. Getting a fatal error message when trying to search.

Thanks anyway

That thread doesn't answer his questions. Just contains more of your smart ass comments

Although I believe you can find all that info by checking the Akai homepage and reading the PDF manual, the stock 2500 doesn't come with a harddrive or DVD drive, and you can use both at the same time. Some dealers even sell them with both included.
