Same here. I am on Akai os 1.23 (Only just recently upgraded from 1.21 due to a bug) and am having a great time with it. I have been looking at the JJ forums to see if i need any of the new features, but can't really decide. I may get the free version to see what it is like eventually, but so far everything i want to do with my MPC I can do with the Akai OS.

Except that this forum would then become pointless!

Why is it free? In other words - why would someone want to pay for it if it's that great already?

I'm totally new to mpc's, so don't even know yet what half the stuff is ... but in the comparison charts for the various JJ os and the normal one, it looks more like the jj one dropps more features than it gains. Might just be me not knowing whats what.
