MPC2500 with JJ OS freezing mid seqeuence/saving!

My Bro's got and MPC2500 with the JJ OS and it's freezing on him whilst playing a sequence. His sequence consists of mainly Midi events with a few samples. It's also crashed on him whilst attempting to save data to the internal hard drive.

All of the midi equipment he is using with the MPC works fine with other sequencers eg Cubase, Machinedrum.

I've noticed that there are other posts regarding MPC2500's crashing. My bro needs a stable machine and is considering selling the 2500 for a 1000 as he knows people who use them with no issues

Since I've only worked with a 3000 and 2000 and have no practical experience of the newer MPCs I feel unable to offer him any worthwhile advice. What do you lot think he should do?

Ok man, thanks for the info. I'll pass it onto him. Hopefully he'll get it sorted 'coz he's really liking the machine otherwise.
