Hi i've made a beat using the mono setting so only a single pad plays at a time but i want to add some extra drums but i need poly play to do this.. I tried to use anew program but it didn't seem to work. Can anyone tell me how to get two programs to play together , thanks

I know the ins and outs of the mpc but i haven't used two programs together before.

I need two programs to play one on poly and the other on mono simultaneously. I'm wondering can it be done?

first of all, if youre trying to use 2 of the same programs on 2 separate tracks, u cant have one be mono and the other be poly-at least not that i know of.

the way around this is to use mutes - have pad a2 mute pad a1, pad a3 mute pad a2...etc, or however u wanna set it up. good luck, hope that helped

if youre trying to do one program mono and a different program poly, should be no problem.

This is NOT True, here's how to do it.....

You can have 1 program running mono, and another running poly, if they're recorded on seperate tracks. If you need the same program for both you can copy the program. Example:
Program 1 is running in mono. Go to the program screen, highlight the section at the top that says Program 1 and hit the window button. Select copy, (if you want a entirely new program for your poly drums select new at this point) it will automatically create Program 2 (which you can rename if you hit the window button when program 2 is highlighted) then hit Do It.
Now Program 2 is a direct copy of program 1, go into the parameters section and swith it to Poly.
*** For this to work properly, you have to ensure that they are using separate tracks.
I do this everyday, when I discovered that it can be done, it was like a whole new world of 2500ness...enjoy
