CF card to PC

so i looked down at my cpu and noticed that it has an input for CF cards.
i got excited and decided to stick my CF from my 2500 in it.
then the auto-play started in my comp and i opened the folder to view my files from my CF.
everything was there all nice and organized, but when i played the files, i was only able to play the actual samples (.wav files).. and not my sequences. so obviously it hit me that "duh.. you cant play sequences in your computer because of the file type.. -_-"
well anyway, i have a lot of beats that i wanna put in my comp but how would i go about doing so?
is it even possible to convert .seq files to .mp3 or .wav files?

wow, now that i read back on this, it sounds confusing..

but hopefully some of you out there would know what im talking about.. help please?

Not confusing at all. Record it into your PC, that's how you get your songs on it.

Or Resample everything in your MPC if you have enough memory, and copy that to your PC.

like, of course i would need some sort of sequencer program (like Logic.. but i cant afford that right now.. and all i got is Vista).. and what about cables too?

you would copy the files from MPC to PC using the USB cable like what it says in the manual.


you could import them to any seq and play them, but you could always just play them using Windows media player or the like

It always sounds weird to me when people buy a $2000 machine and then ask questions like this.

You have any experience with, say, hooking up a stereo or something? Ever cared about how a PC actually works, or just fire it up and hope it sends you online right away? What made you think you need an MPC?

You should just do all your sequencing on the MPC in song mode. Also try downloading Cool Edit Pro, then just record the song from the MPC to your computer.
