okay, i'm going to try my luck in this forum.
from a previous entry in GETTING STARTED forum i posted that i was getting a flat line after recording a sample from my turntable, thru a dj mixer, and into the MPC. i've tried various levels (record gain on the mpc and trim on the dj mixer) on several different records samples and little to no difference.
i've check my connection and they are as follows:
turntable ---> dj mixer line L&R ---> dj mixer master out ---> mpc
when turntable is plugged into dj mixer phono L&R there is no sound.
record screen on the mpc read as follows:
input: analog mode: stereo moniter: on
threshold: between -47 thru -51
in the chop shop there is a flat line with minor ( i mean tiny ) raises along the screen. when i AUTO chop the mpc recognizes what i believe would be peaks and valleys and proceeds to chop. the final product are a chopped section of a flat line. same story when i choose to chop EQUALLY.
IS THE SAMPLE REALLY THERE IF ITS A FLAT LINE???
i don't what else information i can provide... and i'm already confused as it is.
thanks for reading.
peace.
