Im in step edit '' 2500 '' mode, on track 1. Then I switch to track 2, unused track, using step mode. Why can't I hear my kicks on track 1 when pressing the step arrows back and fourth? You could hear where a sound was place somewhere on the mpc 2000...

o.k so it's been a while since this thread began (and ended) but i soreley miss this feature too. 'iguess25'... you ended the thread by saying ''yes it is boy' do you mean you've worked out how to hear notes on all tracks whilst moving through step edit???

Wassup fam...

First let me tell you that feature is still there..

It works on my box.. 2500 JJOS1 5.53

I've turned it off and on before.
Problem is I can remember how I did it.

Your quest is not in vain...

***Edit:
Got it...

Mode pad 15 to get to your step sequencer..
Window
Step sound :On
Auto step: moves the cursor when you press a pad in
overdub to the next space to the right. Your choice. Mine is YES
Duration: As played...

Always keep your eye on the window button...

I can't believe you didnt get an answer for 15 months...

You're using JJ OS. We're not in the JJ OS forum here. Can you confirm this works on the official OS as well?

brilliant

although i 'have' to be in grid edit, at least i can hear what's going on in an arrangement step by step again.

thank you

wonder why this feature has been erased from step edit i found it very useful???
