how come nobody on this site actually helps you when you have a problem but swarm you when you have a simple question telling you to read the manual, i dont understand, no disrespect but is that all most of you are actually good for?

There are a bunch of us on the forums who are more than helpful when answering questions. But damn it… it gets very aggravating to keep answering common questions like:
"I just bought an MPC and there are no sounds coming out of it. What should I do?".
The forum members just get tired of answering the same redundant azz questions over and over and over and…

The manual, forum search function and Google are a great place to start finding answers.

As far as I can tell, people have been very helpful to the OP, but his attitude shown in this topic will no doubt make people think twice about helping him any further.

Some people clearly take this site for granted.

there should be a thread that just shows you what type of cable is used for each situation.

How many people on this site have YOU helped? What exactly are YOU actually good for?

Being told to read the manual is the best thing for you, when it is a simple question that is covered in the manual. You should learn to help yourself, not be so lazy, and try to find the answer yourself, before expecting other MPC users to spoon feed you the answers.

The people here, who you actually are disrespecting, are just other MPC users, like you. The people reading your thread at the time might not have the answer to your question, or might not be bothered answering your question, no one here is being paid to support other MPC users, so that shouldn't be a problem.

You are coming across as a **** whining ****, demanding help, giving nothing in return, and now many will probably think you don't deserve any help at all.

yes i got help in the beginning with simple things and at times i admit i was kind of being lazy because I dont have a physical copy of the manual but like when it actually comes troubleshooting the attention to those issues is limited. and if you're not asking questions or answering questions WHAT THE ACTUAL **** ARE YOU DOING IN THIS FORUM? i respect your expertise, and i kind of wrote this off of being frustrated to be completely honest. i understand where you're coming from but you gotta understand where im coming from also.

btw thank you for your help in the past.

because your questions are too tough. we are opportunists and are waiting for the right question to make us look smart. we know people like you come a dime a dozen. we are waiting for you to buy the tutorials or whatever the funk we got on the ads here. and you thought higher learning was over after grade school

If you haven't read the manual you haven't done your homework. If you've read the manual and browsed the forum, then your question is more legit because you have taken the initiative.

I used to sit down with new hardware and go page by page through the manual. Since a lot of gear is similar now I can skip around but I still use the manual before I ask. Basic stuff is covered in the manual. Now it is a PDF.

I've gotten a lot of info just reading the threads and trying the suggestions. Also I've checkout out Gearslutz which has also been helpful. YouTube is cool too for some stuff.

IIRC this forum is not an official Akai MPC support medium. You are left to the mercy of unknown people who have no obligation whatsoever to help you in any way. If you show your gratitude toward the forum like this, it is very likely that your "support tickets" will get an even longer "response time" in the future.

I feel like many people on this forum are a bit older, and don't react too well to pressure in the form of "instant gratification to ME NOW TL;DR Y manualzh?" that one has come to except from esp. younger internetters. Have patience and a lil humility never hurt anyone.

I can only speak for myself, but everyone has been very helpful towards me with my MPC woes/confusions, and even tolerated some of my initial criticism towards JJ (unthinkable in a diff. context on another forum!). The same does not obviously match your experience?

I've had one or two particular questions/thoughts that have been helpful to express here, though I try my best to not lean on the fora for GENERAL stuff. The few particular questions I've had has been answered here through CONVERSATION...

This is a place where MPC/music nerdz can come hang out and talk to each other. It's really obvious when someone makes an account and makes a post that essentially DEMANDS that a solution be handed to them. That is the stuff that annoys me, personally. This is why I don't go to GearSlutz too often.
